It is clear by the biblical
text alone that the Christians were their own Faith Emergency
Management Auxiliary, especially when it came to their government
sending relief to their society.
The church had its own system of
health care based on free will offerings, special oils that had
antibiotic and healing properties. The community had its own system of mutual banking similar to
a modern credit union in order to help in time of calamity.
This taking care of one another by faith and hope and charity was what created the bonds that produced a healthy society that was capable of withstanding on lthe tragedies of the world.
