Dear Network,
The Kingdom of heaven is not like a video game but a video game may be like the Kingdom.
We formed these email networks to give everyone a sense of what the kingdom of God has all ways been like. It was a network of volunteers who governed themselves in a system of faith, hope and charity. They were not bound by contract but by love, tending to the weightier matters of law, judgment, mercy and faith through the perfect law of liberty.
Some have voiced a complaint that our policy concerning active PCM is exercising authority. Exercising authority is about forcing people to serve or contribute by the will of another.
We created this network and defined the positions of that networked based on the vision written in our hearts. We have described what that look like in books, audio, and articles. There is a description of how these email groups are organized an the part played by elected Personal Contact Ministers [PCM] or Assistant PCM.
The purpose of Church networks must be Christ's purpose if it is to be His Church. He said seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. That seeking is not sitting at home waiting for another interesting email.
Jesus said in Matthew 20:1:
"For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man [that is] an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard."
We are looking for shepherds to help gather and watch the flocks. We call them PCMs... Those who volunteer to be PCMs or APCMs must agree to the terms of as described by us... That is what they are volunteering for.
When they say they volunteer we hold them out as shepherds to the whole network of the Church as shepherds of His Church. If we find they are not meeting the terms we ask them why and if they continue not to or say they don't want to abide by those terms with draw our recognition and will not hold them up as shepherds of His Church. It is not exercising authority to hold people to their agreements it is exercising responsibility for His Sheep and the people we seek to serve at his command.
"He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." John 21:17
We are to seek righteousness in all that we do. The Roman knew that he did not have to go and check on those who volunteered to by his soldiers. He knew that it would be done and Christ found him to be a man that understood faith and the kingdom.
We are all servant but if we see a servant does not do what he said he would do should we entrust him with more?
Jesus did not. He set the policy in Matthew 25:28:
"Take therefore the talent from him, and give [it] unto him which hath ten talents."
and in Luke 13:9:
"And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down."
To be the government of God requires people who do the will of God and that means they must care about their neighbor as themselves and their neighboring congregations as they do their own. It is not caring about your neighbor if you do not seek to know who he is or where he is.
As the time for the whirlwind tour approaches many PCMs and those who work with them are out doing what Christ said...
"And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel [them] to come in, that my house may be filled." Luke 14:23
They are not waiting for people to create a congregation near them so they can go and attend church ... They are attending to the words of Christ.
They are not just working with those sheep who have come to an email group but have gone out to find the lost sheep. They could not do this alone but have gathered with the others on the local groups to find those who will hear the gospel of the Kingdom... They are meeting and growing in numbers...
Those that have become complacent with sitting on email groups are still waiting for someone else to do it like the foolish virgins or the servant who buried his talent.
The Church has always been a team effort of individuals who come together. If a PCM goes 6 months without contacting the other PCMs can we say they are CONTACT ministers? Is it honest for us to say they do what they say when we do not see them doing it?
This is not welfare state where we must serve those who do not keep their word or do what they say they will do?
The PCM group is a work group and it is only for those who are working... It is not a right it is a privilege offered by us to those who say they want to work doing particular work shepherding...I know what it is to shepherd...
How can we hold them out as people working together to form a viable network when they don't? If we did that we would be liars.
"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." 1 John 2:4
The rule was made by God to not bear false witness. Tell the truth.
If people don't do what they say they will do are they liars?
It is not righteousness to bless the liar, comfort the slothful, and weaken those who could stand on their own by carrying them....
I know what a good shepherd does, when we were missing sheep everyone went out to find them... often in the dark and wind and storm until we found them... we did not sit in the house and say Christ will send them to us...
We cannot in good conscience allow another's dishonesty, or apathy, or sloth, or disinterest, or neglect to endanger the flock God has called us to serve.
"And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive."
So why do you all stand about?
We are sacrificing a great deal to do this tour. Its purpose is to find others and bring them together. Those of you who already are on the group should be working to find the lost sheep not waiting for others to do it for you.
Volunteer to be a PCM, Assist a PCM, support or help a PCM.
Those of you who are choosing to continue to do little or nothing have already aqbandoned us... we are just recognizing that truth and following Christ's directives in such matters.
Matthew 25:26 "His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
