Starting a Church

The Free Church Report [1]

Throughout these web pages, books and booklets there is information that reexamines much of what we have come to accept as a true picture of the Church established by Christ. The Free Church Report and other books of the Church are provided to shed more light on the mission and purpose of the Church by teaching us more about the early Church and how it related to the world it was in but not of.

We will be working and adding more and more material to assist everyone in seeking the kingdom of God, His righteousness and His appointed Church. For those who form His Church congregations we shall endeavor to freely share all we have been given.

A Church includes a gathering in a network of mutual concern for people in congregations and ministers ordained by God to serve those people so that they may remain free souls under God.

By definition the world states that the Church is,

“Church. In its most general sense, the religious society founded and established by Jesus Christ, to receive, preserve, and propagate his doctrines and ordinances.”

“A body or community of Christians, united under one form of government by the profession of one faith, and the observance of the same rituals and ceremonies.”

Jesus gave us many instructions about the Church and said where ever two or more are gathered in His name there also I am. To gather in His name is to gather according to His character. He also said those who do the will of the Father are His brothers.

To fulfill the purposes of Christ it is necessary for us to come together in a way that practices thanksgiving and forgiveness according to the perfect law of liberty. In order to live in the world, but not of it it is necessary to mark the boundaries of this relationship of faith, hope, and charity which is the kingdom.

We need to make a record the world may see, set the boundaries of where we live and exercise our rights according to liberty and grace of Christ. We are bound by our love of God and His righteousness in a functioning society that maintains and entrance to the kingdom of God.

The people need to come together first two and the more. They must choose the best servant among them to represent them to other congregations so that we may be a peculiar people bound by love for one another and our congregations and congregations of congregations. This is the fulfillment of Christ's directive:

ARTICLE X - The prime directive of the Church.13

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion14 over them, and they that are great exercise authority15 upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Matthew 20:25-27

But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. Mark 10:42

And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority16 upon them are called benefactors17. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint18 unto you a kingdom19, as my Father hath appointed unto me; Luke 22:25

The Church is not documentation but relationships of trust, hope, charity, faith, service ... in virtue and liberty. Each of us become minute men for christ seeking ways to serve Him by serving one another. It is this service and love for one another that we seek to document in an ongoing relationship based on the precept upon precept which has set the people free from tyranny and want. It is the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
